Report a wrong answer, suggest a tool, or ask about how something is calculated.
ToolShelf is run alongside other work, so replies take a few days rather than a few hours. Everything below gets read.
Reporting a wrong answer
This is the most useful thing you can send, and the one worth being fussy about. Include:
- which tool
- the exact figures you entered, including the settings you chose
- the answer you got, and the answer you expected instead
With those three, a problem usually takes minutes to find. Without them it often cannot be reproduced at all, and the report goes nowhere, which helps nobody.
Questions about how something is calculated
Start with the tool page itself. Each one has a section explaining the method and a list of the assumptions it makes, and that answers most questions faster than an email round-trip will. For the zakat calculator in particular, the thresholds and the rate it applies are written out on the page.
If something there is unclear or looks wrong, that is worth an email. An explanation that does not land is a fault in the page, not in the reader.
Suggesting a tool
Say what you were trying to work out and what you ended up doing instead. That is far more useful than a tool name, because the workaround usually shows what the tool actually needs to do.

ToolShelf doesn’t buy, sell or exchange links, and doesn’t publish guest posts. Emails proposing any of those won’t get a reply.
